Sweat Equity

If I'm honest with myself, I better make this 50 hours/wk. I know myself by now -- I get singularly focused on a project when in one.

I might throw 40h/wk at this puppy.

Weekdays:

  • Wake at 0400h.
  • Coffee and code by 0415h.
  • Unplug at 1015h to get into the shop by 1150h.
  • That's 6 hours per day.
  • (Plus I could study at night for 2 hours.)

Weekends:

  • Wake at 0500h.
  • Coffee and code by 0530h.
  • Go until cranky. Anywhere from 4 to 14 hours.
  • Call that an even 10 hours per weekend of productive work.

That's 40 hours right there.

If I'm honest with myself, I better make this 50 hours/wk. I know myself by now: I get singularly focused on a project when in one.

Because we know there ain't revenue 'til q3, we're talking 1250 hours of zero pay effort. (25 weeks * 50 hours per week)

A full-time job for half a year.

Aka, sweat equity.

Aka, risk.

What other challenges lay in my path?
