Metric 2) Removing Duplicating Efforts
Both slow and prone to error, most procedures designed to remove mistakes evolved the sinister byproduct of creating more mistakes.
Old workflows went something like...

Metric 3) Increased New Employee Satisfaction/Shorter Training
New Employees love feeling valuable as soon as possible.
With the old procedures even at 4 months I felt weak at my job, and I watched as mighty fine folks washed out of the training program like hydrophobic-pacifist-asthmatics at Navy SEAL selections.
With the new tool in place, I no longer fear for the souls of the newly onboarded.
